Guided city tour

Discover Stuttgart and its hidden treasures

Guided city tour: Blue Stocking Trail

Our tour goes uphill and downhill on the famous Blaustrümpflerweg (=Blue Stocking Trail) to breathtaking viewpoints around Stuttgart's south. The start and end point is Marienplatz.
We climb over the Karlshöhe and the Hasenbergsteige, the only strenuous incline that will leave us panting. After that, the Blaustümpflerweg continues at a moderate pace with great views of Heslach. From Südheimer Platz, we take the funicular railway to the Waldfriedhof cemetery and visit some graves of famous people. We continue via the Dornhaldenfriedhof cemetery and then downhill again on the Schimmelhüttenweg! At the end, we return to Marienplatz, where we can stop for refreshments and rest.
The route covers about 7.5 km and takes 2.5 to 3 hours.
